Sharon’s Specialty – The Girls Endorsed Snickerdoodles
½ Cup Butter |
1 ½ Cups Sugar |
2 ¾ Cups Flour |
1 tsp Baking Soda |
2 Tbsp Sugar |
½ Cup Shortening |
2 Eggs |
2 tsp Cream of Tartar |
¼ tsp Salt |
2 tsp Cinnamon |
Heat oven to 400, Mix thoroughly butter, shortening, sugar and eggs. Blend in flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Shape dough into balls. Mix additional sugar and cinnamon in dish and roll balls in mixture. Place 2″ apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes. Immediately remove from baking sheet & cool on wire rack.
